# Leadz: full description

Leadz is customer call tracking and follow-up software for small businesses in India, made by Noetic Laboratories (OPC) Private Limited, Chennai.

## What it does
- Keeps each customer's details, notes, follow-ups and reminders in one place, and attaches the call recording when the phone saved one.
- Shows who to call today and reminds the team before a follow-up is missed.
- Lets a person place a call with one tap from their own phone, then tap what happened (not answered, busy, interested, call back) and add a note.
- Imports customers from a spreadsheet and exports them again at any time.
- Offers reports of calls and outcomes, and a hierarchy of owner, manager and caller so people see only their own team's customers.
- Works in 24 languages: English, Arabic and 22 Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Urdu, Odia, Assamese, Nepali, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Dogri, Bodo, Santali, Manipuri, and Sanskrit. Translations are first drafts and are being reviewed by native speakers.

## How calls work
Calls go through the caller's own phone and SIM. There is no SIP trunk, virtual number or phone system. On a computer, Leadz starts the call on the paired phone over Bluetooth; on a phone-only setup, the Leadz Phone app places the call itself.

## Recording and privacy
The phone records the call, if it supports call recording; Leadz does not record audio itself. For calls placed from Leadz, the Leadz Phone app attaches the phone's recording to the call. The app asks Leadz for the list of recent calls placed from Leadz and matches its own recording files against that list on the phone; a recording that matches none of them (a personal call) is never uploaded, and its number and time are never sent. Recordings are compressed on the phone before upload. Some phone brands and regions do not allow call recording, so we check each phone before the sale. Businesses are responsible for telling customers a call may be recorded and for following the rules that apply to them.

## Where it runs
- Self-hosted: runs on the owner's own computer. Data stays on that computer. Phones and other computers connect over the same Wi-Fi or a VPN. A license is tied to one installation and has no limit on the number of people.
- Cloud: a private copy for each business (its own database and storage), billed monthly by number of people and storage, including 4 GB of call recordings.

## Security
People sign in with a short ID and a time-based code from an authenticator app. There are no passwords. Sign-in attempts are rate limited.

## Pricing
- Self-hosted: Rs 20,000, one time. We install it on the business's own computer or server, pair its phones, import its customers and train the team, remotely. Optional Rs 1,000 a month for updates and support; the installed version keeps working if updates are not renewed.
- Cloud: monthly, by number of people and storage; ask for a quote.

### Does it work on my phone?
Calling works on any Android phone. Your phone does the recording and Leadz attaches the file, so it depends on the phone: some brands do not allow call recording. We check your phones before you pay.

### What if I stop paying for updates?
Nothing breaks. You keep the version you have, with all your data.

### Is recording calls allowed?
You are responsible for telling customers a call may be recorded and for following the rules that apply to you. Check with an adviser. Leadz gives you the controls.

### Can I take my data with me?
Yes. Export your customers to a spreadsheet any time. Recordings sit on your own computer or in storage you choose.
